Barron's Ball Quilt 2008 This year it was decided that the quilt would be a non-theme quilt. It was concluded that most people would like a traditional quilt that they can relate to instead of one with the Western theme. Sara Rowlinson and I met and decided to make the quilt from Intown Quilters called "All Squared Up". I made this quilt for myself last year and it is very beautiful. -Matty Porter If you have any batiks leftover from the raffle quilt, Mattie Porter and Sara Rowlinson are looking for donations of 11-inch squares of batik for the Baron’s Ball quilt.
Baron's Ball Quilt 2007 THE QUILT IS FINISHED and will be shown to the membership during the July Guild meeting. Matty Porter will bring the label to be signed by all of you who contributed the blocks. Please, attend this meeting so we do not miss any signature from anyone who donated blocks. She will bring the label again to the August meeting to collect any signature that was missed during July. These are the only two chances to sign your name on that quilt and be recognized for your generosity and beautiful labor. If anyone of you can not make these two meetings, Please, e-mail Matty at matilport@aol.com. She will be happy to add your name to the label. Matty Porter and Sara Rowlinson would like to thank all who contributed a a "pony" block or corner block to this year's quilt. Last year's "Fayette Nostalgia" quilt raised $700 and we hope to top that with this year's quilt.
Baron's Ball
Quilt 2006 We are awestruck at
the originality of all the blocks. This project has already exceeded
our wildest expectations!
